Ladies, less than 18 months to go!!! What have you done for planning so far?

    We got engaged this past July, so we are already 6 months into the planning process!  So far we have...  Gushed over being engaged and enjoyed an engagement party my parents through us...  Made our preliminary guest list.... Researched just about EVERY venue in our area and then narrowed it down to 20 that fit our criteria and made a flow chart of what each venue has to offer (ok, so that was all me, my FI just looked on and quietly chuckled at my insanity)... Then we visited our top 5 venues, and now we are about to book one!  PS, half of the Saturdays in July 2014 (plus June 28 and August 2) were already booked at one of the venues, so get movin' ladies if you have a special date in mind!

    Other than the serious guest list / venue tasks, I have just had fun browsing pinterest and the knot for ideas.  Oh yeah, and I also tried on wedding dresses with my mom and sisters, just for fun  :)

    <div>Welllll.. we got engaged Christmas Eve... but lets be honest.. Ive been planning this since I was sixteen.. when I met the man.. so Ive been kind of on it. With the holidays just finishing up we havent done our engagement party yet or anything.. waiting for the sting of the holiday to wear off and things to return to normal. Although.. we did decide a date.. and that we want a July 4th wedding. So were booking the venue next week. Ive also found a dress. Other than that everything else is going in the vault until next year.     Booked the venue- this includes ceremony, reception, catering, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, silverware, dance floor, etc etc (I do NOT have time to figure out each of those things individually!) Now starting to research photographers, although I think it's too soon to start meeting with them.

    I have put a deposit down on reception and ceremony sites. We are currently looking into photographers and DJs just to get a heads up.

    We're looking at venues and working on the guest list and budget! I already found our save-the-date, invitations, and response cards. SO excited :)
