Wedding Band (Ring) Help, Please.

I have decided that I want a wedding band that is significant enough to be worn by itself, not with my e-ring.  I wear a size 5 and have long fingers but they are very delicate (ex: David Yurman rings are a little too chunky on me.).  After a little bit of looking, I fell in love with the Tiffany Metro Five Row ring (http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=GRP03613).  After some research, I see the band has doubled in price over the past few years, which I can't seem to justify.  Can you please post a picture of your band or any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

That is gorgeous!  Why don't you go to a jeweler with the picture and see what they would charge to make something similar?

I had my band custom designed because my mom gave me the small diamonds from her set to use.  This was my inspiration:

And this is what he created:

I absolutely LOVE it.  If you decide to try this route, I highly recommend Bernie at Daren Michaels in Millburn!

  • This is beautiful!  Have you tried it on?  It tends to look a bit on the chunky side though, and you did mention that your fingers were long and delicate.  Deff something I think you should try on first.

  • Here's an alternative, but with 3 rows of diamonds: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/wedding-and-anniversary-bands/eternity-bands/judith-leiber-pa12-18k-white-gold-5802w18

They also carry a 6 row band, with more carat weight than the Tiffany, but for just a little less:http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/wedding-and-anniversary-bands/eternity-bands/judith-leiber-pa14-18k-white-gold-5793w18

BTW, Brian Gavin diamonds are well loved by many Pricescope.com members, so I would bet those bands are amazing!

  • I also have skinny long fingers I wear a 5 1/4.  I chose to do 1 band on each side so when I want to wear the rings alone I can just wear the 2 bands together.

  • Thanks for all the help! I have tried it on and I love it. My e ring is not Tiffany but I wouldn't wear it with anything else. I'm not sure if I feel comfortable having it made in case I don't like it but I'll look more into that link that was posted because it's a contender. Thanks again!
