Need Advice on Isleta Casino for Reception

Hi Everyone!
I am thinking about booking the Isleta Casino for our reception, but I would like some feedback about it before I do.  Has anyone had their reception there?  If so, would you recommend it?  Also, how is the food they serve there?
Maybe anyone who has attended a wedding there would be able to provide advice as well.
I appreciate any feedback you can give!
Thanks!!

Watch out because Isleta Resort was bought out by Hard Rock Cafe (See the press release below), so the venue/packages/overall experience will probably change soon.

From my own PERSONAL EXPERIENCE pleeeease stay away from them! Their staff turn over is horrible, and their lack of professionalism unspeakable of. They totally messed up the surprise I had prepared for my FI who was returning from Iraq. They even called the previous day to -supposedly- confirm that everything was set, and THEN the next day we found ourselves with the embarrassment that we were not even in their books. There was no one there to help us out either, and they called the next day to apologize and pretend to want to make it up for us, but guess what? They never did. From one bride to another, I'd advise you to look somewhere else. If they couldn't even organize a tiny two-people endeavor, how much horrendous will they be with a large party event??

The venue itself may be ok-looking, but you deal with the staff and they simply SUCK. Yell

Oh I would definitley AVOID them at all costs!

They were at the bridal expo last year (2009) at Sandia Casino. The people at their booth didn't even acknowledge me when I was at their booth. Then when someone finally bothered to talk to me, she was rude as hell and looked at me like I was scum. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she went to that ritzy boutique and they treated her like crap. From then on I have totally boycotted their casino all together. The info packet they did give me didn't look appealing. It was pretty pricy and didn't look like there were many things to chose from. Save yourself the money and heartache!

I've never attended a wedding at Isleta, but have used them for events at work. (I'm an event coordinator and we do government conferences.) My experience mimics others, their staff is terrible!

They are awful. Over priced and not worth it. My sister had her wedding there. The venue was beautiful but no thanks to them. They do not provide anything. The dance floor has to be rented, all extras are on our tab. The room for the BRIDE AND GROOM was not even on the house. They spent thousands there and could not even get a free room. They never decorated their room like they said they would and they charged us for the extra room for our family to sit around and watch her open presents. They were terrible. The staff is not friendly and it was not an enjoyable. They didnt even dim the lights for their first song, I, THE MAID OF HONOR, had to get up from the table and dim the lights, how awful Please, at all costs avoid them. Go with Sandia Casino if you want a casino venue. Hope this helps!
