Old, New, Borrowed, Blue

Sorry if this is repeat post - but would love to hear all of your something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!

I know some people don't always follow this tradition, but I think it's so special and it's making me so emotional!  I've only nailed down 2 out of 4 so far- but still  have a while to think of the others!

Old: ?
New: dress, shoes!
Borrowed: my sister's hair piece and earrings from her wedding
Blue: ?

Alot of people use blue rhinestones to write I do on the bottom of their shoes in blue.  I'm not doing the tradition though.

Old: DH's great-great-grandmother's giant amethyst ring that has been in his family much longer than that, but that's as far back as we know it goes, because she forgot who in the family she got it from.  I also carried my grandpa's hankie and picture, both were about 6 years old.

    New: Dress

Borrowed: My grandfather's hankie, as well as the amethyst ring.

Blue: My dress and my undies.

Many girls I know do blue undies; you gotta wear em, so why not make it easy on yourself and do that?  The other thing that girls do is have a label made with their names and wedding date in blue thread and sew it into their dress.

And don't forget the sixpence in your shoe (if you can't find a sixpence- they are available online- you can use a penny).

Old: The bonnet I was christened in, turned into a hankerchief.  My mom gave it to me the day that we went to look for wedding dresses, and it has this adorable poem.  She cried... it was so cute.

    New: My shoes... my earrings

    Borrowed: Pearls from my MOH

Blue: I have no idea.  Probably a garter.

    MBR--sixpence in the shoe??
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

The whole, original rhyme included "sixpence in the shoe" at the end.  Since you can't get sixpences readily now, most women substitute penny in the shoe.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a lucky sixpence for your shoe.
I'm not married yet - 84 days to go, but I plan to wear jewelry that I already own (cubic zirconias earrings gifted from my parents a few christmases ago with a matching cz neclace from my grandma this xmas).   I plan to have blue in my garter belt - and its one from my matron of honor (she had an extra one from her shower so it will be borrowed also).  New would probably be the dress or even the veil as I'm probably not getting these used or preowned.  I can easily fit a penny in my shoe since sixpence are hard to come by....
