Good Morning!

It looks like to day will be a beautiful day. I'll be doing math for most of it but am hoping to hit up the deck with my kindle at some point. I'm almost done with the Game of Thrones books that I have so I'll have to search out some new reads soon enough. Summer vacation is coming and I haven't made my book list of "to-reads" yet. I have time today though since my H is going out with the guys for pizza dinner after work so I'm home alone all day today.

I have to leave work in a few hours to go oversee what I hope is the final inspection of FH's late mother's house. The co-op she owned it through is super shady and they have been d!cking him around for months now. I fully expect them to find something new to fail us on and FH to then go postal.

I'm pretty excited that I lost 4 pounds in the last week. I guess that is the upside to being really sick. I am pretty sure that I now weigh less than I have in about 4 years or more. I'd like to lose 14 more pounds over the next 10 weeks so I can hit a major milestone in time for my birthday.

Morning!

I am tired. I've been sleeping pretty crappy lately. I just recently found out that we are transferring to a different building/department for our research. This means lots of packing and taking care of a bunch of things to get ready for the big move. I also need to send my resume to the new department and go through having pay and benefits transferred if they are even transferrable.... they better be! I need my 2+ weeks for the honeymoon!

Morning ladies. I had a mini-heart attack this morning. For some reason, our ADT alarm was triggered this morning shortly after I left for work. They called and said they received a front door alarm. I was only about 1/2 a mile away at the time, so I turned around and resolved myself to just cruising by to see if someone had broken in, and if they did, then I'd call the cops. I was freaked out that maybe someone had been watching and waiting to see when I left for work so they could break in.

When I arrived, nothing was a miss, the alarm wasn't even sounding. I quietly checked to see if the front door was locked, and it was still locked up tight from when I left earlier. I opened the door, peeked in, and everything was fine. I'm not sure why the alarm was triggered, so I re-armed it and came to work.

I'm all paranoid now, though. I hate having this feeling while H is deployed.

Thanks yaga, I hope it does too! I have about 2.5 weeks of vacation right now so I would be really bummed if I ended up losing it all. I'm hoping everything pretty much will stay the same. I wish we had movers!

Morning. My gums still hurt from the dentist yesterday and I'm not happy about it. Mostly I'm just annoyed I have to get a crown.

I'm also really disappointed in my work (moreso than usual). A girl got passed over for a position for what is clearly blatant favoritism. She is more qualified, has been here at least 2 years longer, and frequently has to help the guy who got the job. I'm pissed off for her.

Megh- Do you have someone who can go home with you and do a walk-thru? That would freak me out as well.

Tonight is yoga, since she cancelled on me last night. But they gave me time to get my hair done. Just waiting on this week to be over, I keep feeling like it's Thursday which really sucks when I realize it's not.

Anna, have you read all the the Game of Thrones books so far? I'm on book four right now.

It's supposed to rain here today and only get worse as the weekend approaches. I suppose it's for the best that H's parent's can't come up since we planned on going hiking. H is seriously bummed about them not coming up though. We're not really sure when we are going to be able to see them again because of what his dad tested positive for, but I have a feeling it's going to be at least 6 months before we can be near him, probably longer. I feel bad for H.

Mehg-I would be scared, too! Maybe you can have a coworker go home with you to make sure everythings ok?

I have a busy day today-meetings at work, then rush home to get my dog to doggie daycare, more work meetings, spray tan appointment and 3.5 hour drive to Fargo becuase we are flying out to Vegas from there. I am exhausted today but I'm hoping I can sleep well tonight at my friends house!

Good morning! I'm getting my car fixed today. It needs new brakes and the rear door locks aren't working. So I'm going to be stranded with no car for... who knows how long. Hopefully I can find a place nearby to walk the dog for a bit.

Duds, Tosh is totally inappropriate. I can't believe he gets away with some of the things he says. But that's what makes him awesome.

And it's really hard to find a job here. Trust me, I've tried. I'm lucky to have this one, especially considering the flexibility it allows.

I am at home today. I woke up and immediately got sick, but felt ok when it was time for work so I went in. I started to get nauseous and my boss looked at me and goes, 'should you be here? You don't look so well.' that was my cue to go home. Then my boss got all worried about me making it home safely and offered to take home. So now I'm home and good thing because I've been getting sick every 15 minutes or so. Die.

Mehg that would freak me out too. At least it was still locked and everything, chances are it was just a technology glitch.

Parents of students are so annoying. Two weeks ago the sign-up for conferences went up and there were signs at each entrance to the building asking them to sign up by the end of that week and that would be it. I've had THREE parents come to me this week (it's the week of conferences now) and ask me to add times. WTF people, do it when you're supposed to so I don't have to try and find 15 random minutes for you.

DJ, I have SO MUCH to do still. I don't even have my wedding day jewelry yet! I need to finish (actually START and finish) my programs, timeline, seating chart and escort cards. I've always been way more prepared for friends weddings than my own. But I'm pretty excited!

Always! I'm a different color every other month. To go to the color I want I have to go lighter, so when she did it last might, she left the ends the way they are so the next we can go lighter red.

Sorry about you husband not being able to see his family, that would be hard.

Morning, all.

Looks like my TK time is slowly coming to an end. My entire caseload got reviewed (and doubled) yesterday, so my days will be spent hip-deep in medical files for the forseeable future. I'm glad I'm busy, but not looking forward to the stress of it all.

I stayed up too late last night so I overslept a little this morning. I hate being rushed. Once I got to work, I noticed that my underware are inside out and my socks don't match. oh well.

sorry you're sick, Mara. Don't know if you have any, but the best thing I've found for nausea and vomitting is Root Beer...maybe give that a try. Hope you feel better soon.

Good Morning,

It's pouring rain here and I'm kind of glad. My mood wasn't ready for a sunny day.

I spent a couple hours online last night trying to find a dress for the wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks. Each time I find something I kind of like, I worry about whether or not the color and the cut would be appropriate (silver? taupe? for a May wedding?).

I don't know why I'm stressing out so much about this. I just don't want to end up being in the same situation I was in when James and I went to his other brother's wedding in Jamaica a few years ago. I was flat broke and found a really casual clearance sundress to wear for the wedding. Unfortunately everyone else was in way more dressy clothing and in all the family photos I stick out like a sore thumb and look completely out of place. I still get embarrassed when I look at the photos.

Haha, Dmill- that sounds like my kind of morning. Also- what you said a while ago about people not driving in rain down here? Yep, I got to experience it this morning. On the interstate. I was coming around a curve and had to stop fairly quickly since there was a long line of cars and semis plugging both lanes by doing 15 mph.

HA! I have been pumpkin orange by accident and in order to fix that my hairdresser had to dye my hair so dark it was purple. Something my teenage son loved pointing out to me often.

I have never been blonde, it's not me at all. I'm usually some shade of red or brown.

Good morning, ladies.
It's going to be 70* today, and we're finally going to be done with year-end reporting today. Just in time for first quarter! Yay!

We're planning our first camping/cycling trip for next month. DH and his BFF are going to build a cooler-ator to hold two 5-gallon beer kegs. That's gonna be fun.

Last night my back had spasms so bad that it felt like someone was stabbing me in the lower back with a huge needle. But, then it'd go away and I'd have my general dull backpain, then all of a sudden WHAMO, there it was again. I took one of Hs muscle relaxers that he got for his neck (he hates taking them, says he feels cotton headed until about 2 the next day). I was expecting good things from that pill, and I woke up with a sore back. Sigh.

Tonight we're headed to the dive shop where we got dive certified for a social and a presentation on sea turtles. Should be fun. BIL gets back tomorrow. So, it'll be back to normal around our house.

Chirp- Just going to throw this out there- Check out Rent the Runway. I have a wedding the first weekend in May, so instead of buying a dress, I rented one from there for a lot less. I have used the site before for an engagement picture dress and it was awesome. I also know others who have used the site and loved it as well.
