NWI Gratutiy/Service Charge/Tip?

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to see what the NWI Area is... I'm having my wedding and reception at a place in LaPorte, Indiana that adds a "18% gratuity" to everything... the food, the drink, the chair set up fee, the chair covers fee, the trelis rental fee--- everything. Do I have to tip additionally above that? What's the norm?

    If they are automatically doing that, I wouldn't. makes you wonder when did a gratuity stop being based on the service recieved. I don't know why places even call it a gratuity. Why don't they just call it part of their price and just pay their employees better wages?
