Wedding Venue

Ahhh! We need to lock down a venue, but am having a hard time finding something that we like that is within our budge

I was looking for in Orlando. We Loved the Citrus Club, and the Doubletree downtown, but both are a bit out of budget. Now I am starting to think I will have to head outside of Orlando to find something. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, I haven't had a chance to meet with the University Club downtown Orlando. Is it worth it to look, or are they just as pricey.

Thank you

Re: Wedding Venue

  • It's not in Orlando, but you might want to check out Harmony Golf Preserve. Michelle is amazing to work with, and she helped us fit everything within the budget we gave her. Not to mention it's a beautiful venue!

Try the Rosalind Club. My roommate's sister is getting married at the Orange County History Center and then holding their reception at the Rosalind Club. Also, try Dubsdread. The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne is another popular place. The Maitland Art Center is a great budget site. The Ballroom at Church Street is another popular site.

A big tip for budgeting the reception site is to call around local restaurants with private areas. Some will also rent out their entire restaurant for the right price (fmaily owned, not chain usually.) This works best when you have a smallish guest list (under 100.) I had my reception at Gina's Lakeside Grill which is now Murano's in Altamonte. I had to guarantee and pay for 60 people (max of 80) but there were no room fees or cake cutting fees. My food and drink (with open bar) bill was under $2000 for a plated Saturday night dinner.
  • I'm getting married at 310 Lakeside in downtown Orlando on Pine Street. It over looks Lake Eola. Plus, Hilary Jovi has been awesome to work with.
  • I'm not sure what your looking for or how many people your inviting but if your keeping your event to under 100 people and your looking for a non-traditional place...try the Rix Lounge at Disney's Coronado Springs. This place is beautiful and you would be shocked at the prices. Check out their facebook page. They have lots of photos. We have a appt to meet w/ them next Saturday. 310 Lakeside is another place that I've looked at. I agree with the pp. Its a great place at an awesome price too. Good Luck

No you do not have to go through Disney wedding thats what makes it so much more affordable. You can contact Alexandra Calvet, event coordinator for Springs Food Service/Disney Coronado Springs Resort. The office number is 321-230-8796. Check out the website rix-lounge.com. You can get ideas there and menu pricing. Also, her email is Alexandra.calvet@sanangelinnusa.com.
I have done ALOT of research on this venue. Apparently the company that owns the lounge is not owned by Disney. Spring Food Service runs the lounge and they also run several other restaruants and lounges on disney properties. Check out the website and give Alexandra a email (thats the easiest way of contact for her). If you need anymore help let me know. My email is princesspittsarella@yahoo.com. My name is Angela.
Like I said in my previous post we are going next Saturday for a sit down with the manager of the place to discuss the possibility of booking. I can let you know how it goes if you like :)

I could only find a phone number online but no website. I am starting to suspect it may be affiliated with the Citrus Club downtown but I could be wrong. Here's their phone number they have listed: (407) 422-7573.
  • 310 Lakeside is really nice. I think it is free to have an event there, just the cost of food for your party. There is a good video showing the place off online:
  • Also if you like the Citrus Club, check out the University Club. It is much more affordable and also very pretty and in the same area. There is a video of that place too here:
