I'm working from home today since I went to the Social Security Admin. this morning to apply for my new card.  Then I'm getting my wife chop at 3.  I'm feeling very married today :).

We have a birthday party for one of our friends tonight, and then we have nothing much planned for Saturday and Sunday (besides NEEDING to get the thank you notes out).  Monday we're going to the Great American Rib Cookoff to get some tasty tasty BBQ.

Lol.  I have so much hair that it takes me almost an hour to do it from completely wet.  In my current sloppy grad student state, I just wear it in a ponytail every day so I don't have to take the time to do it.  But since I'm all growed up now and am starting my big kid job soon, I need to be able to actually do something with my hair every day.  And the H likes it short too, so I promised him I'd chop it off after the wedding :).

    Hey, ladies!

I'm at work today, and have to meet with my advisor Sunday (boo).  But my sister is in town visiting, and so is FI, and we have Tigers tickets for Monday!  So probably a healthy mix of work and play here.

Veggie - I have long hair too, and wear a ponytail to school almost everday.  You can bet that I will need to cut it to something more manageable before I start my job.

We have friends coming in from OOT for the weekend and then a graduation party for my brother and sister on Sunday.

We've got friends coming into town as well.  I'm being transferred to the new school in my district, so I may be coming up to my current school to get some packing done.  And lots of relaxing because finals start Wednesday!

    Eeek, congrats newly!

Friends of ours opened their pool and bought a smoker--apparently FI is going to help smoke a brisket. Should be interesting.

Me too! Oh yeah... I live here (but I'm so happy to not be traveling for the weekend!) What are you doing in Pittsburgh?

I'm resting! And doing a lot too--laundry, baking, cleaning, and planning my wedding :)  (and by that I mean, make-up trial, hopefully buying card box and cake servers, maybe starting table numbers, write up programs, finalize reception music...)

Congrats, newly! How excited you must be!

I am headed to my FI's tomorrow to spend the weekend with him (he's known as the Cricket Man in Facebook lore) and my future stepson (known as the Tall Lad). Sunday we're going to his family's for a BBQ, then Monday we'll drive back in a leisurely fashion...me first so I don't run into the Tall Lad's mother when she comes to pick him up.

Spent the afternoon today at the car dealership addressing invitations! Oh my...It's still five months away, but the time is starting to speed up...

More than anything, though, I'm grateful today...we were supposed to get really, really severe storms on Wednesday, with multiple longline tornadoes. We did have just tornado warning after warning, and my drive home was extremely hairy (next time I wait til it blows over), but it wasn't nearly as bad as we had feared.

going to the lake tomorrow with FI's family...kinda nervous, a whole bunch of his extended family will be there, some I haven't even met yet, and I can hardly keep them all straight!

then on monday we're enjoying the day together and having a cook-out with friends in the evening.

Yesterday was family day: the morning with his, the evening with mine. Mass this morning. We may be getting together with some friends later tonight. Tomorrow will be a quiet day -- maybe hiking, maybe a big breakfast.
