  When we were doing our planning (for a Va Beach wedding), we met with 3 different planners, all with a WIDE range of costs and services.  In this area, you might expect to pay $500 for day/weekend-of coordination up to $5,000 for full service. 
  I was a very  hands-on bride and did most of my own hunting for vendors and made a lot of my own decor/paper products, with really helpful input from my day-of coordinator by email or phone.  She did all of the set-up coordination on the day of the wedding and everything went so smoothly.  I would highly recommend her!  Her name is Heather and she can be reached at stylemadesimple@yahoo.com.  You can check out her work in my bio and email me at sunflower1998@cox.net if you have questions.

  I have not priced planners yet and I am in the same boat. If you are willing to travel to the Richmond, VA area there is a bridal seminar entitled "An Engagement" that talks about planners, budget and basically help you in the right direction for planning your wedding.   Her name is June Yuiska out of Williamsburg.  I talked to her in May and she ranged anywhere from around $800 for day-or and her highest price was $2000.  She is on Facebook if you want to contact her.
