HELP! Any fantastic yet affordable VIdeographers?

Hello everyone,

My fiance and I are planning on having our Wedding in January and were wondering if anyone had ideas on a good videographer in the San Diego area.  We have called a couple, yet they are extremely expensive.  

I want to be able to have something that showcases the day and venue well so that when we return home to Minnesota, our relatives and friends that could not come with can feel as if they were there and share in our joy You only do this once! :)

Any suggestions?  Would a videographer be able to an a la carte option since we would only really need 3 hours of coverage due to our small wedding party.

    You could email the photography club at UCSD (or even sdsu) and see if anyone would be willing to tape for a small fee... cheap for you, good experience for them! As long as you see some video they have done first, of course...
    My photographer used to be in the photo club and hes amazing!!!

    Who did you call, and what would you consider affordable? 

    Did you ask those  you called about a la carte options?  I would think January would be a slower wedding month for some, and they would have some interest in even a small wedding.

    We are using Luke McCain Videography, he was much cheaper than others I found and was recommend on another board.

    Snaps Productions also does a la carte I think.  I saw them at a bridal fair but don't remember much about the prices excpet they had the ala carte option.
