Instrumental vs Actual Song

I'm torn. I don't want cheesy, but I don't want traditional. I have a list of songs that I would like played as people sit down. Should I search for the instrumental versions, or will the actual songs be okay? Also, what about as I walk down the isle?

    I would go with instrumental over the actual song.  You should check out Vitamin String Quartet- they do some awesome covers- I am walking down to their version of Sweet Child O' Mine. As PP suggested, I would probably stay away from the karaoke versions.
