Catering/food

Is it a must have to have a meal for your guests? Or is serving cake, punch, mints and nuts decent? Needing opinions please!

    It depends what time of day your wedding is. If your wedding is at a meal time, then you need to serve a full meal or enough heavy appetizers to equal a full meal. Really the only times that less would be OK is mid-afternoon (like 2:00) or later in the evening (like 8:00). Otherwise, you need to serve more food.
