Is everyone this shy???

Hi Knoties,
I just wanted to  say "hello" to everyone.  I don't normally start posts but I am the boards a lot.  The OC board has been a bit quite lately.  I know there are newly engaged girls on here because it was just Valentine's Day.

I have been working on finding favors for my wedding this week---I am thinking I might do candy or cookies (at least I know they will get eaten instead of some favors that get thrown out).  Any other suggestions????

I want to do the m&m's that you can write a message on, have you seen them?

We are using the Tootsie Pops provided by our caterer as our escort card holder.  We also have a number of children coming, so it also will give them something to do while the ceremony takes place.  Other than that, we aren't doing favors.  I've never kept a favor and adding one more thing to our budget didn't work well for us.  If we had an unlimited source of funding, I would have done individually boxed cupcakes.

    I like the M&M's too.

We are thinking about giving lottery tickets to each guest. Since most favors usually end up left on the table.  I doubt a lottery ticket will go unscratched.

Hello, first time poster to these boards. I live in Orange County, but am getting married in Houston in October.

The FI is from SF, so I was going to give out Ghirardelli chocolate squares most likely.

we had chocolates/candy in favor boxes for our main reception and coasters for our smaller bay area banquet dinner. both worked out great, but it seemed as if guests liked the coasters a bit more. :)
  • the cookies are expensive but SO CUTE!  www.elenis.com ...unless you know someone who can make them for you!

I know that sweets always get eaten!  We are doing shot glasses with our names on them.  However, this was mostly decided because we have a family friend who can get them very cheap.  Its the only favor ive recieved that I actually kept. I say go withi the cheapest favors and put money saved towards the bar... guests will appreciate this just as muchSmile
