Flowers for a pool

Hello! Does anyone have any experience with floating flowers for a pool? Or candles?

Re: Flowers for a pool

  • no problem but turn off the filter and skimmer that night... or they will be sucked into place.

    Candles are really nice...
  • I LOVE doing floating flowers for weddings.  They are fantastic and look so pretty.  I would say go for it.  Pick something that is fairly lightweight and easy to toss.  On occasion I will tie a fishing weight to the bottom  keep them in place!
  • I have done this many times for weddings. If you want them to even semi-stay in place, you definitely have to tie fishing weights to them! They will still move a little, but if you don't weight them, they ALways all end up in one corner - every time ;).

Also - making flower "floats" works much better than just floating single blooms. Basically you use a styrofoam base that flotas and your florist makes a flower "arrangement" on top. You can also have them put candles nestled within the flowers, encased in a hurricane is best, so they don't blow out.
