Service Charge plus gratuity

Hi fellow brides,

My reception venue charges a 20% service charge, which I know is standard, and has indicated that gratuities are not included and are at my discretion.  How much do other brides typically give?  20% on top of that seems like a lot (I generally tip at 20%)

    Gratuities for everyone except the maitre'd and bridal attendants are included in my price, so I haven't had to make this decision myself, but I'd probably tip 20% of the cost of the venue not including the service charge (so if your base price was $100 + 20%, I'd tip based on the $100 price, not the $120).
