Any other December 2014 brides out there?

Hi all,

I've been checking back on this board for the past month or so but nothing. Nothing but test posts. Well I guess I'll be the first to introduce myself.

I go by NiNi. I have a 16 month old DS Christian and the love of my life FI Curtis. Our wedding is planned for December 13, 2014. I am a fan of numerology and 12-13-14 will be the last "counting up" date available until we get to 2100.

My wedding theme is not going to be based on the numbers(or maybe it will) but the date means a lot to me, so I've started planning wayyyy in advance to make sure I can get everything booked for that day.

Also my wedding will be very DIY so I'm giving myself enough time to save money and get my massive DIY list completed without me stressing at the last minute.

Hi there! I am also (hoping to be) a December 2014 bride! As of right now, my FI wants to have our wedding in 2015, and I am not budging on having it in December, but I am trying to get him to budge on the year. LOL.

My name is Sonya. I'm hoping for our wedding to be on the 6th of December, 2014. I, too, have started planning really early! I want to make sure that I have every detail planned so I am not stressing out about it too much. My FI's name is Adam. Our wedding is set to be in Austin, TX.

I'm also probably going to be doing a lot of DIY, so the sooner I start planning and getting things done, the better.

Hi. My name is Shandi. My fiance, Alan, & I originally were going to get married on our anniversary 4/4/2015. Then looking through the calendar, we realized that 12/13/14 fell on a Saturday & both loved the idea of such an amazing anniversary date & a Christmas wedding. It is a second marriage for both of us, but my first wedding :-)

Hello all - I am one as well. Just got officially got engaged but our date has been set for a while. 12/13/2014 - why you say - because it is our anniversary.   It started out as a joke several years ago when we realized it was a Saturday and became an if we ever do it - this is the date type of a thing.

All you other ladies out there who just like the date (and I completely understand the coolness factor) scare me and make me afraid that I might not be able to have the reception location and wedding I would like. (I mean that in a nice way - not trying to be mean at all)   So as a result, I started looking at venues which in turn had us start to look at rings. Last Saturday, while looking - he picked out the perfect e-ring and wedding ring! Exactly what I wanted. So we bought it! He asked my 13 year old daughter for permission on Monday after he picked up the rings. Then with her by his side, he asked me. Not a surprise but it really was incredibly sweet and perfect. My first wedding at 49 - his third (and last)

Colors are Navy Blue, Silver and White. Theme will probably be Starry Night. 3 pm wedding start.   Location - somewhere in the Houston/Cypress area. His son will be marrying us. And we want him to say I now pronounce you husband and wife at 15:16:17 (3:16 and 17 seconds). His daughter will be singing a song, and my daughter will be my only bridesmaid.

So now that it is official - I can officially start looking to book our venue. Nice to have some other ladies that are sharing our date and wedding month!

My wedding date is set for 12/13/14. I wasn't really into numbers so much but I started thinking about a wedding date before I got enagaged so when he popped the question I knew automatically my date. The stressful part now is finding the perfect venue.

Hi ladies! My wedding is also going to be 12/13/14! My fiance is graduating from college this Friday and will be on a rotational program with his company for the next two years. I still have a year left in my undergrad so I can't go with him so we're waiting until 2014. We're from Colorado and really love winter and snow, so we always wanted to have a winter wedding. Right after 11/11/11, we were wondering how many more cool dates there are out there. 12/13/14 is one of the last times people can do the cool date and it just so happens to be a Saturday. Perfect!!

Good thing we're all already planning as it's probably going to be a really popular day! I'm so glad I'm not the only December 2014 bride out there; people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them!

Our colors are purple, blue and silver and we're goimg for kind of a classic urban theme. The venue I want has gorgeous exposed brick walls and the most amazing chandeliers.

Welcome other 12/13/14 brides!!! So glad to have more of you planning so early!!

And so glad none of you are in my area!! LOL - am onlly teasing.

Think I pretty much have planned most of the details in my head for our wedding now. next step is to decide on a venue and attend a Bridal show in July!

I have lots of DIY projects that I want to do like centerpieces and brooch bouquets, so i wish I could get started already!!!! Trying on dresses in July as well - can't wait!

Hi everyone Im Becky and my FI is Billy we decided yesterday that our wedding will be on 12/13/14 i have always been into numerology also as my birthday is 8/8/88 and we wanted to wait till he was out of the marines which will be july 2013 so we decided for that date and my mom and aunt are actually looking at venues for me and will let me know if there is anything that i might like since i work 12 hour days at a correctional facility and dont have that much time. i already have flower girls, bridesmaids, and a preacher who is my sister in laws father it will be so special to have him officiate the wedding as he was the one who did the service for my dad's funeral 6 years ago. My Grandfather (my dad's dad) will be walking me down the aisle it will be a bittersweet day as i really wish my dad would be the one walking by my side so i am trying to find ways to honor him on this day.

Just reading many of the post I guess all December 2014 brides will be on 12/13/14. I have booked my venue, lighting and photographer which I am excited about. I want to start dress shopping but I feel that my taste will change.

Has anyone else started booking anything?

I bought my dress about two months ago as it was one that I've had my eye on for a year and a half and knew it was the one. We'll be looking at some venues here in a couple of weeks. I really want to make sure we get the nailed down early so there's no question as to wether we can get married at our dream location or not. Everything else, aside from the caterer and photographer, we'll probably start booking next year.

Seriously, so happy to have all of you also planning already!

I am torn between red and green which would be christmasy or a more formal color combo of icy blue and silver. i think imma go with the blue and silver but i keep going back and forth thank god i still have 2 and a half years to make up my mind lol

My fiance and I have decided on black, white, purple with tiny hints of teal; because it's a formal wedding, we kind of figured that black and white don't count as colors (lol), which is why purple is the main color and we'll be throwing in hints of teal.

Hey everyone My name is Rachel I have 2 children boy and girl with my fiance and we are finally getting married after a wonderful 4 year relationship...well I am having my wedding on 121214 the reason for this is we are getting married this year in Vegas on 121212 and decided we wanted to save for a really nice wedding so it will actually be our 2 year anniversary then....I am looking to spend no more than 10k on my wedding any more than that would take from our actual savings which is not an option..I plan on alot of DIY for the sake of saving money and I'm glad I get to started now to avoid so much stress of rushing things..I am doing a winter wonderland theme with white silver and blue not sure what shade yet colors and I am so excited !!!

12/13/14 is the date I am planning on getting married too. It will be our 4 year anniversary and a happy compromise between 2015, which is what he wanted and 2014 which is what I want. Not to mention what a special date to remember!

I am also getting married on the last day that counts in our lifetime. I always wanted a wedding on the 21st of any agreed upon month since it is a good number in my family. My FI was married before on the 21st so I told him that one didn't count and this one will. My theme is my fianc. He is a very down to earth hard working man who loves the outdoors, so it will be an outdoor venue, people will just have to dress warm, lots of DIY wood accents. My father died when I was little so I am having his son walk me down the aisle and our girls will be flower girls. I booked my venue this past weekend and picked out my dress to show my grandma before she passedright after we got engaged, iI'm waiting to buy it until the summer of 2014 to get sizes right.

Hi! My name is Sarah and my FH and I are switching our date to 12/12/14. Our 3 year old son and daughter (who isn't born yet) will be the ring bearer and flower girl. Our colors will be red, green, and silver. Our theme is formal Christmas with some sparkle added. Christmas is my favorite time of year, so we're switching our wedding from May 2014 to December.

My name is Tricia. I am planning for mid December 2014. I really dont want 12/13/14 just because almost everyone is going to have that date LOL so maybe the 12th or something. But anyway my FI name is Rick, we live in OK. I am planning and outdoor ceremony and reception, plus almost everything will be DIY. My colors are Cream/Ivory, Periwinkle, Silver. I am going for a Vinatage/Rustic feel also, so I will probably throw in alot of pinecones/branches and lace into the decor. I am having my dress made from an orginial '68 pattern. :) It is beautiful!!

my fi and i are planning for a 12.14.14 wedding since that date will be our 10 yr anni. we played with the 12.13.14 to make a whole weekend of celebration, but thanks to seeing how many others want the date just for the date, kinda cheapens that day...so we decided to definitely do our anni on the 14th. 10 yrs! im a florist so seeing everyones color choices helps me with what colors wil be popular at that time. thanks! im going with red and gold with sugar(every bride has that color that no one can truely match so this mine!) our son will be 7 at that time and im thinking maybe having him walk me down the aisle since my father is passed. daddy doesnt like the idea...so if not walking with me then definitely a junior groomsman. congrats to those other december brides!

Hi Ladies!!! my name is Tiffany my FL name is Kelvin... Its so great to know there are so many 12/13/14 brides out there (that arent in my area lol) I can relate to a lot of you ladies in fear the date will be very popular I'm looking for a venue now and like the OP have started planning now so that when it comes time for the official year of planning its a piece of cake.... the date started out as a joke on FB and now has become reality

I'm huge on numbers so it's perfect I even thought about 8/9/14... my bday is on the Aug 8th and fl is on the 10th so I thought it would also be cool to celebrate my bday get married and then celebrate is bday the next day... but I dont think I want to change my date (even though it is 1000 cheaper to rent the venue in Aug) 12/13/14 will never happen again in my lifetime so I'm going to go for it! nice to meet all of you ladies

hello everyone December 26th 2014 here, he proposed on December 25th 2012, i wanted the wedding on the same day but kinda figured everyone would have their own Christmas plans so day after is good enough.

im hoping for a rustic winter wonderland type theme. very small about 40 people.
