Just wanted to let all my fellow plus sized Albertan brides know that I went dress shopping for the very first time yesterday. After much research on the Internet and phoning ahead, I decided to go to Golden Brides on 16th Ave in Calgary first as they gave me the best reception on the phone when I told them my size. Sure enough they had over a dozen dresses for me in size 26 to try, and I saw the rack which was one full rack (over 40 or so dresses) in sizes over 16. Just wanted to let you know! As for the customer service and alterations, etc. I don't know yet as I didn't buy a dress- I'll still go to some other stores to make sure the one I loved there is "the one". But I just wanted to tell the plus size girls out there about the good selection.
