RSVP Fun!

Ok, now I think I get to join in on the RSVP fun... Why is it that the FIRST envelope that I opened says "Accept with pleasure," but the dang people didn't write in their names??? Now how in the world will we know who this is for???

I'm sorry, a good idea is to number the response cards to each guests name. But since you already mailed the invitations you will have to call and find out if they RSVP.

I did this.  I wrote the number on the back of the RSVP card that corresponded with their names on the excel spreadsheet.  I only got back 2 RSVP cards that did not have a name on them, and I just flipped them over and to see who it was and marked them as a yes on my spreadsheet.  It helped tremendously when trying to get the final number.

We wrote the guests names down...some people are too slow or us to be playing around figuring out who's who. Yep sounds like you'll need to make a phone call:/

This is definitely a "live and learn" experience! Since we sent our Save the Dates electronically, it was easy for me to send a mass email to everyone asking that they verify that we received their RSVP. Since it's one of the first ones, hopefully it's a good reminder to those that have yet to return them to fill them in completely :)

And I'm assuming this guest didn't write their return address on the envelope? Can you narrow it down by the city and state postal stamp on the envelope?

BTW, Welcome to the rsvp fun...Wink

</div><div>Nope. No return address. And the postal stamp just says "Los Angeles 900"... um... that's about 90% of our guest list. </div><div>
</div><div>What I did was send a mass email out to everyone that got save the dates with a request for info. Since it was the first invite and we only got four the first day, I'm thinking that narrows it down for them... at least. Either that, or I'll just wait til the end of the RSVPs and call folks. Ugh. SO not looking forward to this. </div><div>
    </div><div>So far, no funky questions about bringing guests though </div><div><img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div>

<div>Yay!!! How exciting... are they all sealed? I waited until the LAST minute to seal mine. To be honest, there are still a few stragglers that didn't send their addresses, so I have them at home with their names on... so I've numbered about 7 of the RSVP cards (LOL). </div>

Either this.. or what we did was write the names of the guest on the response cards already... in the event they didn't put thier return address on the envelope.
And that way I was able to harness the count, and people trying to "invite" others.
