Sorry I have posted so much today, but the school I teach at is closed because of snow. lol I want to know your ideas on why you are doing the vintage theme!
I have loved silent movies since I was a kid and always have tried to see old historic buildings, look at old magazines in book stores, etc. My mom would probably say I lived a "past life" in the early 1900's, but who knows
haha.
I figure, I dont remember most of the weddings I have ever been to unless they were really bad, extremely expensive or unusual. So I probably remember 3 out of 30. I know that I want my wedding to be extremely different and make people think "Wow, that is really strange, yet cool". Even if they don't like my 1800's save the dates or all the Fred Astaire music, I know they will remember it!
When I got engaged in December, It almost seems easier at times to buy the regular bridesmaid presents, get a non-antique looking dress, etc. But then I have to stop myself because it is my one and only wedding! (hopefully! haha). And I have planned this for SO LONG, that I will make sure every detail is something that I would be proud of and people will remember as being different.
I would love to hear why you guys decided to do this also! And, is your fiancee going along with it? Mine is, but he would much rather do a city wedding, outside with lots of martinis, ice sculptures and modern music, But he knows this is my dream, so he has to LIVE WITH IT
