How was your Labor day?

Hey everyone!

Well, my Labor day weekend was fun and exciting! :) Saturday was my niece's 1st birthday. I can't believe it's been a freaking year since she was born! Anyway, it was an over the top circus theme. I expected nothing less from my sister LOL. There was even a bouncy house... for a 1 year old, and 2 other children. WTF! Ha ha ha ha! Whatever, it was adorable.

Sunday was the L.A. County fair, and we ate so bad that day. Chili cheese fries, fried pickles, more fries, deep fried twinkies, oreos, and snickers... OMG I was hurting by the end of that!

Yesterday my sister announced that she was 4 1/2 months pregnant with a BOY! OMG! I am soooo excited. But, she is seriously kicking my ass in the baby department! I need to catch up! LOL

Sounds like you had a pretty fantastic weekend!  Yay for your sister's pregnancy!!!

I had an amazing weekend.  Obviously!  It was beautiful, relaxed, and full of love from start to finish.  I didn't stress for one minute, and it was truly the best weekend of my life.  The rehearsal dinner was at a hibachi restaurant, and we had lots of laughs.  My friend did a cute slideshow of my husband (!!!!) and I growing up and as a couple.  Then the B&B where we stayed was absolutely delightful - the breakfast was incredible, and it was so nice spending the weekend just relaxing together.  Getting ready with my Mom & my brother's girlfriend was awesome - everything went smoothly, and we had SO much fun!  The wedding was amazing - my husband cried through the first look, and sniffled through the ceremony.  So sweet! I was so blissfully happy, never nervous.  Our first dance was SO fun - he spun me and dipped me and we just laughed and sang the lyrics to each other.  Everything was just incredible.  And the day after, we had a blast playing kickball with our families & eating from a food truck.  It was just a fantastic weekend!!!

  • Yay for the sister Cab! Double Yay for the wedding Cali!

My weekend was awesome although I think I might be going to detox today.  Too much food, booze and fun was had. We had a mini & delayed welcome home party with a group of our friends.  It was the last weekend of us in the house in NC as the movers are coming to pack up so we "blew it up" well not really since we are either renting or selling so no damage...haaa.

We had several of our dance parties with football and pool time added in.  Today however, I am having to wear a loose sundress as I don't think I could button my pants if I wanted to.
  • Yay for everyones great weekends. And beautiful pictures Cal!

Normally, I go out of town for Labor Day, sort if a last hurrah of the summer... but this year I just stayed home...Lame. I had plans to go out of town, but it turned out lots of family were visiting my town this weekend, so why would I leave? I do have to admit I still have a strong urge to take a weekend trip and get the heck out of the central US. I hung out with family and friends and even got to see H and his molest-stache (hehe, totally looks like a creeper). So, all in all it was a good weekend!

  • Yay for everyone's awesome Labor Day!

I didn't do much (watched the Gossip Girl marathon and now am addicted). Today has not been great so far. I have to get the paperwork from the church here to the one in MS, and they are just not being cooperative even though I told them what I was going to need from the start. FI and I had a little money freak-out as well, we just were looking at what we still owed and it seems like so much even though I know we'll get it done. My invitations should be here today or tomorrow, so the addressing can start and hopefully will get them out the first of next week.

Two months out and I'm still so stressed I feel like my body is buzzing. Part of it is that I'm here and the wedding is there, so it's hard for me to envision. Part of it is the church stuff. A big part of it is money stuff, specifically all those little bits at the end that add up.  I know what I need to do, it's just hard for me to talk to people, specifically my father, about money. He's offered to "help" with the tuxes, the chair rentals, all the alcohol, and the music at the reception. I didn't ask for him to do anything, and obviously anything he does do will be awesome, I just don't know how to tell him that I either need dollar figures or a straight up commitment to pay for whichever, because this "help" business does not put my mind at ease.

  • I was planning on being at Cal's wedding but my manager took away my request off because I'm schedule for a rather lengthy leave of absence. He scheduled me Sunday morning...jerk. I was pretty bummed. It looks like it was a beautiful time, Cal. Since my plans were elsewhere I didn't do much all weekend.

  • Congrats CAB's sister and Cal! Sounds like there's just a heck of a lot of good things going on! :)

Divine: Finger's crossed that everything just falls into place for you, although I think in the end things will be amazing and great! Cause you'll be MARRIED! (that's so exciting!) :D

Amanda: I made FI shave his off, totally creeper status. O.o
Besides...people already look at him funny when he's with me, cause I look super young and he's really tall and beardy. lol

I spent part of the weekend with the future in laws and had a blasty blast. :D FSIL is freaking awesome! Then after they left I took a small daytrip to the outlets and just splurged on cute VS stuff. They were having a bra sale!! I couldn't just NOT buy something!! :P lol
  • I can't believe summer is unofficially over! Though that means the countdown is on for starting my new job and my husband returning home! Yay, lots to look forward to! My weekend was slow though, just hung out with friends and drank margs. My kind of weekend!!

<div>AND can you believe you've been married for almost a year?! </div><div>
</div><div>My weekend was partly good and bad I guess? I've been quite busy with planning the halfway party for this deployment! I had a meeting/fundraiser for that on Saturday then hung out with friends. Sunday was chill beause I sprained my ankle and so the rest of my weekend has been blah due to that! I'm hoping it heals real soon cus I would like to get back into running since I'm planning on doing a 5k next month! Oh and I got to Skype with H twice!!! LOVED that, made my week. The connection was fantastic at his hotel this time, so we talked for a few hours each day. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>

I don't mind goatees, but mustaches are just funky on FI. My dad has a wicked awesome 'stache, he's actually had it his whole adult life. He already had it when my mom met him so noone actually knows what he's like without it! LOL
