Dolly Couture

Hey ladies,

Any Dolly Couture brides here? I am in love with this dress and think I am going to go for it! Anybody got experiences? Thank you :-)

Very cute! Dolly Couture has such cute dresses.
When I go to Washington next month to try on dresses I am going to try this one on (I am so in love with this dress) it's a Justin Alexander though (sorry I know the tread is about dolly couture).  But I don't know if I can pull of tea length, I'm only 5'3" and on the plump side so I fear tea length will make me look shorter and rounder. This dress comes in a full length version too so I guess if tea length doesn't work I may try that.

I was seriously considering the Dolly dresses - I believe the Milan was the one I really loved.  My wedding had a 50s feel to it so I thought that dress would be perfect.  However, in the end I decided that I needed to be able to try on the actual gown and was nervous about alternations so doing it over the internet was not for me.  I didn't end up with tea-length after all.

Both of these dresses are lovely!!!  And if you love it, I say go for it.  My only recommendation is to try dresses on with an open mind.  I was so wrong about what I actually liked when I had the dress on versus what I thought I liked on the hanger.  Enjoy the dress shopping experience and best of luck!

Edit:  Oops.  Forgot to mention I thought I could NEVER pull off the dress I bought.  I was actually nervous to try it on, but I LOVE it.

Thanks for the advice girls! I'm in the uk so I'm hoping to try on some similar styles here even no bridal ones so I'm sure of the style. I'm really tall and they can make it to measure for me too which is swaying me even more! I really do love it!!!

    YAY!
You have to let me know if you find it over there. It is a gorgeous dress, I've googled pictures to find real brides wearing it and they all look beautiful in it! If you try it on take pictures, I'd love to see them.

I called the one store here in Victoria and they have just sent it to their other store interstate but are hoping it will be back in store by tomorow so I have made an appointment to go in and try it. They did say it was a really small size (like a 0 US) so hopefully I can at least get it on and they can hold the back closed! lol

I haven't asked the price yet so hopefully it isn't too bad!

Your right I meant Candy Anthony! Damn Whirling Turbans should be cheaper since they are made in Bali- a friend just got her wedding dress made there whilst on holiday and it only cost her about $100Au

I was going to get a dress from them as well but I'm going with the Justin Alexander dress.

I tried on the Justin Aklexander on Saturday and oh my god it is beautiful and very flattering 9they wouldn't let me take a photo). The trouble is that it costs a bomb here   ($1800) so I am going to try and find one online for cheaper!
