Tipping your Wedding Planner

Question for you.  Are you going to tip your wedding planner?

    Ok, I'm glad someone asked....  I read that you only tip the vendor if they do not OWN their own company. So, if your planner owns their business that would be no tip, BUT if they work for your venue or someone else then they get a tip. 

    Is this right?  I would hate to screw that up

    Ann is right. You don't tip a vendor if they own their own business.

    I only had a DOC (Karla) and I tipped over 20%. I thought she had done a fantastic job and I wanted to show my appreciation. I think you should always tip if you think people go above and beyond.
