Only 14 weeks to go!

Re: Finish Strong Challenge Accountability

  • Hello all! I feel extremely proud of myself for this past week. I wavered here and there from my exact meal plan, but that's part of life, right? I generally stuck to my targets with eating and did fairly well for myself.
Best accomplishment? I'm well on my way to making Starbucks a weekly treat only (right after weigh in).
I whooped my own booty this week with exercise. Thank you P90X doubles! haha. I'm looking forward to a couple of easy days here this weekend.

I decided I'd try to blog about this challenge. You can read my blog here - http://jsbeard.blogspot.com/

Where are you ladies with this?

    I'm callin' you out....hehehe
  • Hi!  I'm here!  I'm down 1.2 this week which is good, but I haven't been working out thanks to a nasty cold.  Other than that, I've made improvements with making good food choices and feeling that junk food isn't "worth it".  I think I'm finally over the honeymoon hump with food.  Now on to the exercise!

  • Im here too!!  This week I have done very well....only down 0.5 lbs, but I feel great!! I am eating a lot better which I can tell is making me feel so good.  To be honest, my workouts are always good...I love to workout, so this has never been my problem...eating is my problem :)  I only have 2 weeks till my wedding date, so I think I will be very good these next two weeks.  My challenge is AFTER the wedding. :)  but that is why you ladies will keep me accountable :)

Umm, I was at lunch, duh... :P

How's everyone going with this? pretty well, I'm pleased so far.
Did you stick to your commitment and your goals this week? yup.  Monday threw me for a loop, but I reorganized the week and have been to the gym twice already, so I've already done the minimum.
How was your eating overall? Not bad.  I'm at 80% compliance with the "rules" so far for the week, and my "non-compliant" meals were not bad.
How did you do with exercise? Good.  I really tried to push myself this week.  I hurt, but in a good way.
What do you feel proud of? Just doing it.  And not allowing my brain to talk me out of things.  ETA: I'm also proud of the fact that I'm finally losing weight again!  2 lbs in 2 weeks is just fine by me.
How can you improve this week? Aim for a higher compliance rate with my eating, and maybe try and get out for some supplemental exercise.

Favorite, I really liked what you had to say about the challenge in your blog.  It was phrased very well!

  • Ugh This is a crazy week because we are having an open house on our condo this Sat and Sun so we've been cleaning up and all that.  I did work out 3 days but not for a long time.

One day I did 40 minutes of cardio and the other 2 days I did 15 minutes of a circuit training dvd.  and a little yoga one day.  So its better then nothing.

I at least did well on the diet part.  Eating my cereal in the morning, and made tacos from Sunday to Thursday. 5 days in a row ha.

One half of the week was ground turkey tacos made healthy

the other half was shredded chicken.. I boiled it and then shredded it with my grater.. came out good.

At least I have healthy meals.. and one night we snacked on microwave popcorn..

Anyway I feel next week I want to work on the exercise part and do more.

I know I am capable of the workouts and when I do them  I love them and sometimes get really into it and want to continue.  Like when I did the circuit training but I felt I wanted to continue and do more so I did the yoga the one night along with it.

I know I am capable of doing it, its just I gotta push myself and make the time to do it and then I'm good.

  • I haven't been feeling great this week, so that has messed with some of my plans.  I'm doing pretty good eating-wise though.  I really have to get back to a better exercise plan.  That's my goal for this weekend/next week.  I got my Hungry Girl cookbook, so I'm anxious to try some new recipes.  I feel like I'm in a rut lately and just eat the same things over and over.  Hoping to get better though.
