The Church is proving to be the hardest part....

We believe in god..that should be sufficient, right? I was taught all my life that as long as you have faith you would be fine. We've both attended church before but we are not Sunday Church people.....However we want our ceremony in a church. All local churches thus far want like $2000 to perform/hold it OR shun me for not being a member. When did religion become so cult like? Why can't I just get married in a church without all this hassle?

    Sounds like we are having a similar problem! We really want a church wedding and I so far all the churches are at least $1500 or we can't be married there - another extra glitch for us is that my grandfather is a paster (not local though) and I REALLY want him to perform or at least participate in the ceremony.Good luck to you!
