Too many favors?

I come from a family of divorce and so my dad and my mom don't speak to each other about the wedding plans. Well my dad is paying for most of it and my step-mom is planning it. They bought two favors a while ago: a magnet of two pears and a leaf bookmark to go with our fall theme. Well my mom just told me the other day that she wanted to buy us some favors for everyone. These glass coasters, which I'm sure you have all seen, that say LOVE on them with the O as a heart. They are very inexpensive but I don't know if my guests will think it's tacky (because I do) to have too many favors. I like her idea better than the ones we already have. What should I do? Just let her get them?
