buying bridesmaid dresses online?

All right ladies, here's a doosy!I found a bridesmaid dress on the After 6 web site. I went to the Wedding Bell and had one of my bridesmaids try it on. It was fantastic! I showed it to another bridesmaid via the internet, and she found it on a web site (www.victoriasbridalcouture.com) for $50 less!SOOOOO.... would you have your bridesmaids buy their dresses online? I have 2 local and 2 who live in CA. I worry about the dye in the fabric. I have been warned about dresses having different pigments when cut from different fabric.....lend me your opinons !!!

    I would see if you can get your bridesmaids to all order their dresses together from the same site if you want to go the internet route.  Then you can be sure they all come from the same dye lot.

    What is the difference between ordering a BM dress at a place like David's or ordering it on-line? Aren't you taking the same risk of the dresses coming from different dye lots when ordering from David's as well?
