For whatever reason, I guess since I paid for my driver's license with a check a few weeks ago, I thought I could also write a check for my marriage license! I was wrong! At least in Madison County it's cash only for marriage license!! I wanted to let everyone know because I had to pay foreign ATM fees to get the money, also remember to bring your driver's license (FI is bad about this but I reminded him so he had it) and you have 30 days to get married after you get your license, not 31 like some states and it's $53, $5 extra to get married right then in there (could have saved some money, haha!) It took about 15 minutes to get it, they had to run some paperwork! Hope this helps someone else!!
