Personalized Napkin wording

I want to order personalized napkins for my wedding but I am unsure which of our names should be listed first. Is it the male name first, or is it alphabetical, or is it whichever way it sounds best? Also should it be proper names or if it is okay to use nicknames? My name is Barbara, Barbie is preferred, and his name is Robert. I call him Rob but his family refers to him as Robert.--Thanks in advance for your help.

While they are a waste of money, they can be cute. I'd list your name first and then his. Ask him what he'd like his name to be on the napkin. Put Barbie on yours. These are not formal items.

Why not just use cloth napkins and stamp them with a cute design in fabric paint?I'm not a fan of personalized napkins.

The woman's name goes first. Don't worry about what names you put on there...go by Barbie if you want, and you can use whichever name of his that most people know him by.

The woman's name is usually first. If you're not sure what names to use, consider using initials or a monogram. I actually think it's more elegant than spelling out the name.

The woman's name always goes first because you're not suppose to separate the man's first name from his last.
