I am so excited to finally be able to post here on the Knot! My boyfriend and I are finally engaged after 4 years of dating. On our 4-year "anniversary" (July 29) I was at Isaac's house and we decided to take some pictures out near the fields in his back yard. We set up the tripod and took some really sweet and goofy couples pictures. Then as we were setting up the camera again, he hugged me and started in with "It's been such a wonderful four years together...can you imagine what it will be like four years from now?" I wasn't really expecting anything and went along with it. Then he said, "We are going to have such a wonderful future together. Why don't we start it now?" And got down on one knee. I said yes, started laughing hysterically, and he took my picture! It was so sweet and exactly like us. Isaac's dad is a metal smith/jeweler, and Isaac commissioned one of his friends to design and make my ring one-of-a-kind. It's so beautiful! Isaac and I are waiting until we graduate from college before we tie the knot. 2012 can't come soon enough for me! The two of us, pre-engagement:
