how long do orchids last?

I wanted to scatter some on our rehearsal dinner table but my mother was worried that they would deteriorate if they were not in water. How long do orchid blooms last (ie before they wilt) without water?

    Dendrobium orchids should last all night

    tell will make through the night, but make sure you hydrate them all day before. you can also make nice arrangements just by putting them in a nice flat vase, (they'll last for longer of course)you can also buy orchids in the stems and take the blooms out yourself, then you can hydrate the whole stems before you take put the blooms
