Hello All~I've chosen roses, dahlias, and mums in shades of magenta, burgundy, and purple for my Oct 10th wedding.  I was telling someone this the other day and they said that mums remind them of funerals...That is really not what jumps out at me when I think of mums - any thoughts on this?  TIA!

    I hadn't heard that about mums either.  If you like, go with it.

    I think the same thing ! flowers can be used for different occasions, the important thing is that you give meaning to them.I say if you like mums you go with them and make them look personally I think they give the a full touch to any arrangement and they can be used and combine with almost any filler flower or greenery.

    Yes, go with what you like.You might check out spider mums versus regular mums, they have a more interesting look.

    I would use the mums more as a filler with mostly roses and dahlias as the prominate flowers.
