Anybody skipping bridal portraits?

I think I might skip my bridal portraits. It kind of freaks me out to put on my dress and wear it for an extended period of time when it's not even the wedding day. Plus, the only place I would want them taken is outside, and I'm afraid of the dress getting dirty. Is anyone else skipping them?? Am I going to regeret this?

    i dont know anyone who does these.   maybe this is a regional thing?

    Allie, I've heard bridal portraits are a southern tradition.I thought about skipping mine, but decided to go ahead and do them to make all the moms and grandmas happy. They would be heartbroken without one!But I don't think it would be a good idea to do it the day of the wedding. Personally, I think it would be added stress. But that's just me.
