Save-The_Dates...when to send?

My FI and I just got our save-the-date magnets in the mail.Our wedding is July 10th, 2010...when would be the proper time to send these out? I was thinking late October and the invitations would come 2-3 months before the wedding? We are not really having out of towners coming, just a couple from the east coast. Any help would be great, thanks! :)

    I would say between the end of October and the end of November.

    STDs go out 6-9 months in advance, so anywhere from October-January.  Remember that once you send a STD, there's no going back, so make sure you are 100% certain that people will be included on the guest list before you send them. Invitations go out 8 weeks before the wedding.
