Missouri-Kansas City

ideas for KC welcome bags

What are some Kansas City-themed,  inexpensive items we can put in our hotel welcome gift bags? Here's what we're already doing:

* Gates bbq sauce - 8 oz.
* Roasterie 2 oz. coffee bags
* KC postcards

We're considering chocolate, but my beloved Christopher Elbow is too expensive and we don't like Russell Stover.

Other ideas? :)

    Sunflower seed candy would be fun. I think I saw some at Kansas Sampler a long, long time ago. Or even just Sunflower seed packets for planting.
    I think See's Candy is based out of KC, though I could be completely wrong.

    Something Wizard of Oz themed would be cute. Get creative with it. It doesn't have to be so literal. Sometimes it's the cutesy, crafty things that make the biggest impression.

    Good luck! I'm sure it will be fabulous!

    When we did this we went to the guest services office on the plaza and got a TON of free pamphlets to put with them. They had a map of the plaza, activities to do and things like that. It was a great addition to our welcome packets.

    We put in a couple of Bogden's mint reception sticks (bought from Kansas Sampler and are locally made).  We also had Russell Stover KU turtles since we met at KU and Topsy's popcorn.
