FMIL paying for bouquet and you paying the rest? How does that work?

Hi ladies!  So here is the sitation-FMIL told me "I read in the books that I am suppose to pay for the bouquets and coursages which is fine with me." and that was all she has said about it, the thing is, how is she suppose to pay for those and my mom pay for the rest (centerpieces, alter flowers, etc) from the same florist?  FMIL doesn't want to just write out a check and that be that but I feel it is silly to use 2 florists.  Ideas?

My florist started with a package price, and added on a couple of extras like the altar piece and centerpiece add-ons.  Maybe you just agree on a split of the total - FMIL pays $x and you pay the rest?

Your florist should be able to separate the costs for you.
