Casting for Traditional Wedding for PBS Food Special

PBS is working on a documentary special starring a beloved chef which will explores the melting pot of American culture through our diverse culinary traditions.   For this episode of "Lidia Celebrates America," we will meet brides from different ethnic backgrounds, attend their weddings, and learn about how each of their families celebrates and eats at this happy event.

We are currently searching for a traditional ethnic or inter-ethnic wedding to film this summer or fall
The wedding should incorporate some traditional foods, music, and other customs.  We are searching for energetic couples who would be excited to participate.  Filming would require a short background shoot day when we would set up a pre-wedding activity, then we'd send our host and small crew to the wedding.  When all is said and done, you will have a beautiful PBS segment about your wedding as a keep-sake.

This will be a strictly documentary-style show with an upbeat focus on food, family and culture - in other words this is not a 'reality' style wedding show.  The program is expected to air nationally on PBS in the Spring of 2012.   Please be in touch if you are interested in finding out more,

Sincerely,
