Weight Loss Wednesday

How is everyone doing on this front? I know we were all working hard pre-wedding to lose weight, is anyone still working hard after the wedding?

  • I'm trying to re-lose about 20 lbs.....:(
  • I'm weird and I wasn't trying to lose it before the wedding...I was just concentrating on other things.  But at least I didn't gain any weight!

    Now that it's over I am trying to make life changes with my diet, and exercise a lot more than I was...my goal is 5 days/week.  I joined a boot camp run my someone who is majoring in nutrition so she is teaching me about eating differently.

    It's my personal belief that it's not all about weight...I actually want to be able to do a marathon and 1/2 marathon faster, do a mud run with no assistance, and wear a tank top without being so self conscious about my arms.  I find if I concentrate on the scale and calories I just get obsessed with numbers and starve myself and get cranky.  Ok enough of my blabbing...

  • I was never trying to lose weight for the wedding.  I did have a goal line set before then (my birthday actually).  My dad started having a lot of health problems when he hit his late 50s due to his weight.  I don't want to repea that.  So I'm doing what's necessary to get in shape, be healthier, etc.  Losing weight is part of that.
  • It is a never-ending struggle for me! I actually lost 8 lbs after the wedding and kept about 6 of it off. I have no motivation to go to the gym and that is my problem! I know I would loose if I just got my butt to the gym but I never seem to have enough energy or motivation. It's terrible. I used to workout 6 days a week for an hour or more each time. Now, I'm lucky if I workout once a week. I'm hoping after grad school is over in May, I will have more motivation.

  • After losing a lot of weight before the wedding, I've slacked off majority and the weight is starting to creep back. I've only run 3 whole times since the wedding (I used to run at least 3 times a week!).

    I just signed up for another half-marathon in November, so I hope it will motivate me till then.

  • I have gained back but 3 lbs since the wedding. Starting in April (when I will only be working 1 job) I plan on getting my rear back to my weight watchers meetings and possibly looking into a personal trainer. We shall see if funs allow that though. I just know I need to do something because I want to lose 40lbs by the end of July.

    Is that because you want to get pregnant in July? I too want to loose before I get pregnant!

  • I really didn't care much before the wedding, and I don't care all that much now. I just try to eat healthy, and moderately. I said what I lost, I lost. I think I have lost some, just because I am doing so much walking student teaching.

    For the last month I have been so serious about the weight lose thing. i have been working out 5 or 6 days a week eating healthy etc. Nothing is really coming off so I joined slim genics today. I have only 13 more lbs to go but can't get past the last 10. Hopefully this will help.
