Fans

So i am posting this in a couple places....We are doing these fans to put at the place settings at ceremony.... as it is prob going to be VERY hot at ceremony, but we would like to write something other then our name and date on them....Maybe something funny or cute with the word "fan" in it ...ie we are so happy you could join us we are big FANS of you or its FANtastic you could join us on this day...HELP?? I'm not a FAN of either of those but cant really think of anything else....THANK YOU!

I'm making those too! Except they are going to double as both a fan and as our programs. So on one side we will have our order of ceremony and then on the other we will list our bridal party. If you're interested in sprucing them up, you should consider adding some color to them. I'm doing white fans, then painting the sticks hot pink and adding a hot pink bow to them.

That sounds lovely...how are you going to paint the sticks with out them sticking to the paper...seems like an easy thing to do but with 110 sticks to paint.....

I was just looking at your bio...your dress is AMAZING!! have you found lanterns? I thought they were pretty cheap at asianideas.com....they also have cheap folding fans...

We made fans that doubled as programs, pics are in my married bio. I'm not sure of any FANcy wording (ok, lame I know!) but I'll think about it for a while...

I'll be spray painting them before hand, then allow them to dry and then I'll be attaching them between the pieces of cardstock. HTH!

ditto the fans as programs. that's what I'm doing. I'll have my house party hand them out to guests as they walk to their seats to fan themselves with during the ceremony.I am confused. you'll have place settings at the ceremony? or did you mean the reception?

we used fans that doubled as programs and they were a big hit. I just wanted to let you all know that they can be time-consuming to make. I didn't realize how long it took... printing them out... letting the glue dry... etc. But in the end it was worth it.. everyone loved the idea.
