Dress problem!!

I am completly lost as to what to do, I have had my dress at the seamstrist now since july & my wedding is in dec. 2 weeks later we had a meeting with her to discuss making dresses for my jr bridesmaids, which ended up being way too expensive so I informed her that we were going a different route with their dresses. Well I have not heard from her since, I've left messages & spoke to her husband and still no call back. Fri my fi called & she answered right away & told him she would call me & never did so I tried calling back with no answer again. Now I'm lost as to what to do? Please help, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If someone had MY dress and would not talk to me or answer my calls and messages I personally would go to wherever her shop or house is and let her know I would not be using her and find someone else! This is not right you have no idea whats going on with your dress or when she plans on actually calling you. All of this would make me nervous and I would not want my wedding dress in her hands....Reading this just makes me very mad because I have a similar situation going on with my invitations and I just want to tell the girl NEVER MIND since I cant trust her to even answer my messages let alone get everything done right and in time.

I would inform her that if you don't hear from her in a certain time frame that you will call the police and have them escort you to her house/business to get your dress back....if that doesn't embarass her into calling you then acually follow through with it...it's your property! Wedding dresses are not cheap....so I wouldn't wait another day! There has to be a reason why she isn't calling you back.....no matter what her reasons are its terrible business...and bad word of mouth always gets around faster than good word of mouth!

since she answered the phone call from your fi, maybe use a friend or parent's phone to call her and when she answers tell her you want her address so you can get your dress, and if she refuses let her know you will be calling the police. If she has an actual business I would also file a report with the BBB.

Well she finally called me back & said that she started to work on the dress & realized she could not handle it and didn't know how to tackle it. So instead of calling to tell me that so i could find someone else she decided to try to get someone to help her. I told her i wanted my dress back right now & i would take it elsewhere. So now i finally have my dress back & just have to find someone else to work on it!!
