ceremony and reception conbination

Does anyone have any pictures or suggestions of a layout for this type of wedding? our venue is a huge lofty area and I thought it would be cute to have people seated at tables instead of a coctktail hour for the room to be converted....yes or no?

    One of my cousins had to do that b/c of rain, and it was very nice and cozy. I enjoyed it!
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    We did that.
    Guests came and were seated at the tables.
    When the ceremony ended, the waitstaff delivered a flute of champagne to the adults, and my friend Brooke did the toast.
    Then immediately the waitstaff delivered the salads and the meal began.
    No gap, no awkwardness, no cocktail party while the room was "turned" - no problem.
