Photography help!

I am going to a showcase for The Pros Entertainment in a few weeks, but I was wondering if anyone has used them before? They have an unbeatable price, but I'm nervous because I don't have any personal feedback.  I can't afford to spend too much on photography, so this would be a great deal for me, but I want to be sure I am going to get the pictures I have always dreamed of having.  Suggestions?!

    no clue but I feel like companies like that do more of a cookie cutter photography style, I personally prefer a more photo journalistic style.  A couple options...

    www.megancable.com - she is just starting out but does some really amazing work.

    I'm very interested to see the replies on this...My fiance and I are in the same boat and are thinking about the Pros as well...Good luck!

    I can't recall any specifics off the top of my head, but I don't think I've heard great things about The Pros.  You might want to check reviews on weddingwire.com.

    We used Stephanie Miller Photography in Annapolis for both our e-pics and wedding pics, and she was great.  I think her prices have gone up a bit since we booked her, but she did negotiate with another knottie who loved her work.

    I would stay away from The Pros.  I have seen a lot of awful reviews about them - there's a pretty recent thread on the Baltimore board right now.  Basically, the general consensus is that pictures wind up being really poor quality and they seem pretty slimy; a lot of girls have complained that they did not get the photographer specified in their contract, for example, so they wound up with someone with no experience and a crappy portfolio.

    Obviously if they break their contract, you can take legal action and not have to pay them, but you still don't have pictures in that instance.  I would shop around.  The guy doing my wedding (for insanely cheap) is David Kugler.  He's a friend of FI's, so we're getting a better deal than most, but since he just sort of does it on the side he's still really reasonable, and I was impressed with his portfolio.  You can check him out here:

    The Pros get terrible reviews.  http://weddingwire.com has tons of reviews for almost every vendor.

    We used Heather Coburn Photography.  She was awesome, and totally affordable.  Plus she's running a special right now, as I've mentioned in earlier postings.
