Rome/Utica Wedding/Reception Sites

There is a lack of websites to find wedding & reception sites up there. I am in KY and need some ideas. I know there's the Beeches, Dibbles' Inn, etc. But are there some non-conventional places? I have heard of Unity Hall and saw their website. I have tried to call for prices but didn't get an answer. Also, we are hoping to avoid a church for our wedding, mostly due to cost. The few churches we have talked to want over $400 for it. CRRRRRAAAZY!!! Any ideas for a wedding too? We are planning to get married on April 10, 2010. We know the weather is unpredictable up there.

    It really depends on the style and formality that you are looking for...there is Hart's Hill Inn, Hotel Utica, The Radisson, The Stanley Theater, Twin Ponds, Yahnundasis Golf Club, Valley View, etc....

    What about Rome Arts and community Center, across from the Y? I don't know if they do weddings, but it is very pretty in there.
