Inspiration Dilemma

Hi ladies!  I need your help!  So the decorator we're thinking about hiring did a mock up for us and neither my mom nor FI could be there.  Both HATED one of the centerpieces (I also wasn't in love with it but it was interesting - wish I could explain it but it kinda looked like a tall vase with a lampshade on it).  So, now I'm looking for tall centerpiece inspiration that isn't 1.) Manzanitas or 2.) a submerged flower in a tall vase or 3.) too many flowers (over my budget!).Any ideas?  Please post any links if you have any.  TIA!!!

ditto on the calla lillies.  Like this...  http://weddingregistries-123.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/wedding-centerpieces-300x225.jpg  Or how about something like this (instead of the apples you could do something else) http://patternoflife.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/flowers.jpg You could just use more inexpensive flowers like gerber daisies, mums, spider mums, etc.  That way you can still have a lot of flowers but it shouldn't drive up the cost too much.

I am going to be alternating high and low centerpeices so it can fit my budget. I am thinking of getting orchids from a wholesaler in town and then putting them on a higher base and stick some branches in it. Another option is hanging lanterns with a flower or decorative base.

I did super tall "Eiffel Tower" vases with james storei orchids, branches and peacock feathers.  I asked them to add the branches to cut the cost down.  I think they look cool, add bulk, and are less expensive.  Ditto peacock feathers.  Checkout the pro photo link in my post below (under Reception) or feel free to email me and I'll send you pics if that's easier.  knlagna2009@gmail
