Donate your wedding dress!

I just heard about this charity...for anyone who doesn't know what to do with their wedding dress and wants to donate to a good cause or for those of you getting married soon. (let's be honest, there's no hope of your future daughters wearing it and there's no need for it to sit in your closet).http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/#donategown They take the dresses and sell them all over the country and the money goes to breast cancer. I'm definitely thinking about doing this after my wedding next year.

oh btw, I found this charity through a photographer's website. He gives a free bridal session to whoever donates their dress. I thought it was a really nice idea.http://www.ericlaurits.com/

If you can't splurge 5-7 grand on Eric Laurits's work, this is definitely  a great way to give back and have a free bridal session.

It is a really great organization! My mom is a breast cancer survivor and in May I went to their dress sale at Bloomingdale's in Chestnut Hill, MA. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a dress there, but so many of the girls did and ended up getting amazing deals on beautiful dresses and helping a great cause at the same time! If you have some time before you are planning on buying your dress definitely think about checking out one of their sales and if not it is really a great place to donate your dress after the wedding!
