Timeline for reception - dancing, cake, etc...? HELP!!

Can anyone help with ideas for scheduling during the reception?  I have the the cermony and photography down, but when do I schedule our first dance, Mom's dance, cake cutting....  PLEASE HELP.  Wedding is in less than three weeks and DJ tells me he needs it ASAP!

    Depends on when you want to do things. Honestly, our DJ was a huge help with this, not sure why yours isn't. But anyway....

    Here's pretty much how we did it:

    First dance immediately after our entrance
    Father/daughter dance after dinner
    Open guest dancing
    Cake cutting
    Mother/son dance
    More open guest dancing

    Here's our plan.  Keep in mind we have a few older VIPs that want to leave early so we're kind of cramming everything in that they would want to see.

    Enter Reception
    First Dance
    Father Daughter Dance
    Mother Son Dance
    Dad Welcome Speech
    Eat
    Toasts
    Cake
    Dance
    Bouquet and Garter Toss
    Dance
    Wedding Countdown Ticker

    I agree with PP.  Your DJ ought to be a bigger help.  Our DJ helped with a very basic skeleton (he would have been happy to give a line-by-line).  Because there were things we did not want, it helped to start with his outline.  If your DJ isn't the owner of the company, perhaps you can give the owner a call and ask for his/her help ASAP.
