I hate when people only write my name on Invitations.. even though I KNOW FI is invited, they can't just type his name out too?? It's not that hard!

    Does this happen to you often?  How do you know that he actually is invited?  It is rude to not invite a fiance if someone is engaged, but on the other hand, only those listed on the invitation are invited.  I wouldn't necessarily assume that your friends are doing the right thing (and it is rude, presumptuous, and, as many people here can attest, very headache-inducing for invited guests to respond to invitations with added uninvited guests).  At the very least, I'd double-check with your friend that your fiance is invited before you respond...

    That does sound annoying - but still. I would decline the invitation - if only so they can be clear on what they want. By the time you are planning a wedding, you should have SOME clue about etiquette, no? Guests are only those named on the invitation!
