Wedding Hairstyle opinion

I need your advice. I am a natural hair bride and I want to wear my hair in it's natural state for the wedding. The idea my FI envisions is below and I think I want to wear it like that. I'm still not sure. I need a HAIRapist LOL

But my question is...if I wear my hair just out, will that be too casual compared to my bridesmaids. I don't want to be the odd one out! Although I kind of am with my hair. I'm proud of my hair but I just don't want my hair to outdone by the bridesmaids. I don't know please let me know.

This is exactly how FI wants to see me. Hair out and a big flower and this is really beautiful to me.

No one will out do you, you will be the one in white and no matter what will stand out. If that's how you want to wear your hair then go for it! Only one suggestion, I think I remember your dress as being really formal. Maybe consider more bling than just a flower. But again it's all you. if your vision is flower then go for it! Did you decide to use the shoes with flower detail for yourself? Or was that just bridesmaids?

My bridesmaids are also doing the off to the side style

    this is super cute

Look at you girl! You remember well! To answer your questions and suggestions...
    1. Thank you for the encouragement.
    2. Yes my dress is pretty formal and that is another reason I am worried about just a big hairstyle. I really wanted a bun or something tucked in but FI shoots down every pic. Should I just not listen to him? I mean what does he know about my hair anyway?! I'm about to start a new thread on that one LOL seriously!
    3. My girls (except one) are going to wear the flower shoe and I found another! It's perfect and matches the organza pattern of my dress. I guess I should've posted an update since people really do pay attention!
    4. Again, I am considering tuck and pin styles like you pictured and I do have this one saved somewhere on my computer or phone!

Here is my new shoe! Got it on clearance at DSW for about $35 after coupons!

Thanks ladies. I had one hair trial with my regular stylist and I didn't like it. I have been doing my own hair for the past 3 years I've been natural.  With hairstylist doing the "upcharge" to work with my nappy hair I don't know if I can afford but one more! I'm going to make an appointment with my coworker's hair stylist next month. My coworker's natural hair is always cute.

  • Oh and another concern...if I wear my hair out how will I wear this $150 cathedral length veil I purchased?!
    imageAnniversary
  • You know I had some complications with my hair and had to stop with perms.  I haven't had a perm since March of last year.  My hair has grown a lot because I started off just getting wet set.  Then lately I just have her wash, blow dry, straighten and style.  I get a lot of updos.  I am so lucky for my beautician because she doesn't charge me any extra than before.  Price $40.  I know of salons that cater to natural hair that charge much more.  Without my beautician I don't know what I would do with my hair.  I can't do anything with it but wash, blow dry and flat iron.

I am surprise to see people that are natural be able to style their hair own hair in so many different styles.   I wish I could o this then I could save some money.

<div>Uhm...you just answered your own question. If you want to wear that cathedral veil you will have to wear your hair pin and tucked. Here's another suggestion, pin and tuck for ceremony...go wild with the fro for reception with a flower. That way both you and FI get what you want. </div>

  • Ok it's back! Kcc you are getting a great deal with your stylist! I'm looking at 65 everytime! I also wonder about my hair swelling up with the dancing and all. We'll figure something out.

  • I'm all late lol....I like the original style but I don't love it. I love buns and I think with your make up, your dress and the overall feel I get when you talk about your wedding a bun would be perfect.

Then you can wear the veil for the ceremony nd the flower for the reception.

I like the big hair but it always screams, beach, casual wedding to me. IMO. And on top of that your FI has seen you with big hair, its not everyday a girl can wear an updo/bun or a veil. And your face is too pretty to hide with all that hair.

I found some pics I thought would be pretty.
