We haven't set our times with the church or venue yet but will next week! The problem is we have a tight budget and were considering leaving out the cocktail hour. Our idea was after the ceremony the bridal party would take pictures for an hr or so plus travel time, which would leave about 2 hrs between the ceremony and reception. Would it be reasonable to just have guest plan to arrive at the reception hall 2 hours later & allow them to enter the banquet room with access to the bar, their seats, and light music? We would then arrive around the same time or within minutes.
