I would try posting this on your local WI board. This is an international board.
<-------------Look to the left and click local wedding boards. Then find your WI board. Good luck.

Let us know where in WI you are.  It is a big state :)

You could also try Tyrol Basin, it has a rustic feel.
I think that the Goodman Community Campus in verona, WI also has a barn.

If you are in the Milwaukee area, I went to a wedding at Trimborn Farm in Hales Corners that was absolutely beautiful.  Here's the website:

I've heard a lot of hype about the Enchanted barn but have never personally been there. There was another knottie a bunch of posts back that was in love with the Enchanted Barn, you could possibly contact her for more info if you find the post. Otherwise here is the website! www.theenchantedbarn.com/" target="_blank">www.theenchantedbarn.com.

Cedar Hill Barn in Markesan is where I'm getting married in August.  The owners are exceptional to work with and the price is so very agreeable.

When you do get married, would you be willing to share some ideas you had anything you would have done differently for the venue? My fiance and I are getting married at Cedar Hill next may (2012) and are planning the wedding from Oregon.

We are getting married at the Kettle Moraine Ranch in Eagle, WI. They have a beautiful little chapple on site and then we are having our reception in the crazy horse saloon. Message me if you would like anymore information on the Kettle Moraine ranch.

  • Does anyone know of any people who are willing to rent out their barn for a wedding reception in the Appleton (Neenah, Hortonville, Oshkosh, Kaukauna, etc.) area?
  • Im looking for a Barn/ country or rustic settings in Wisconsin. I'm by Waukesha WI, any one have any suggestions? Anyone know how the Kettle Moranie Ranch in Eagle is for Weddings?

</div><div>i went to look at the kettle morraine ranch as a possible venue site.  when we showed up for our appointment, the owners were on vacation and no one who was there knew we were supposed to be there.  luckily, one of the owners daughters showed us around, but couldn't answer any questions about prices/catering/sound system/pretty much anything you'd want to know while looking at a venue.  was also provided the wrong pricing information.  the owner called me a week later and provided some information, but overall was VERY unimpressed with their organization and ability to provide information.  also, the place was very dirty.  i'm expecting dust and stuff since it is rustic, but there was just random stuff (tools, lumber, buckets, garbage) laying around everywhere.  my fiance and i were going to give them the benefit of the doubt and try to visit again later in the summer, since it is the type of venue we are looking for and close to where we live...but i'm kind of dreading looking at it again.  if you look into it, hope you have a better experience!</div>
  • I know there is Homestead Meadows near Appleton and Mulberry Farms in Sherwood, but other than those two, I am wondering the same thing!
  • Hi jn20fr, we're looking at the Ranch as well--do you have any pictures from your wedding? What did you think of the whole event? One thing that I was worried about were the bathrooms, especially for our older guests.

    Thanks!

  • ****DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT KETTLE MORAINE RANCH****
If I could give NO stars I would! These owners have no business ethics what so ever!!! My sister booked her dream "barn wedding" with them months ago with deposit and contract. They then contacted her 3 months later stating they "double booked" her date and GAVE IT TO THE BRIDE WHO BOOKED IT SECOND!!! They offered another building that would not hold everyone, but refused bump the party they booked second. After reading other reviews this does not seem out of character for them. Disgusting business behavior and now left our family frantically searching for another reception site after all the other companies (photographer, DJ etc) are paid for.

While they offered to refund the deposit, the inconvenience this has created along with complete disappointment cannot be made up for!
  • Anyone find a barn within 40 minutes of Milwaukee?

All of the barns listed above are SO beautiful, but our guests will be flying in and staying in Milwaukee so I'm looking for a (reasonably) close barn near the city.

Thanks so much for all of your inspiration! It's been a pleasure reading your comments!

  • Hello, I would love feedback about your experience there, please!

I was  looking for a barn venue for me in the Milwaukee Area, and found this one and thought Id pass it along. Its in the town of Norway(Raciene county)-can hold 99 people-bring your own caterer. its only 200 dollars for the WHOLE DAY. My wedding is bigger than 99-but  thought I would pass this hidden gem along to some other cost concious WI bride. Meyer Park Barn in Norway, WI. I have since booked my reception at the Urban Ecology Center (Riverside) it had a rustic feel to it and had lots of different things for my guests to do.

  • holy hill art farm doesn't do weddings anymore, they just rent their antique pieces out.
I'm using Old World Wisconsin's octagon barn.
    Praying for a miracle!
  • I'm getting married at La Grange Ledgestone Barn in De Pere, WI. It is a beautiful renovated barn that's just starting out in the wedding business. You should check it out!
