Thanks for all the advice I'm reading!
My fiance and I live in different states right now. We have plans to see each other for over a week over New Year's and into January. Other than that, we don't have immediate plans for extended visits (longer than a weekend). I'll be moving to where is probably 5 months before the wedding, which will be in November 2012. My question is--in this situation, when is the best time for us to register? Knowing that stores in different states will carry different inventory, I'm wondering if we should also check out stores in both states since guests will be from both places--that way people can purchase in their local stores and not have to pay shipping. I remember always being so frustrated when I'd go to Macy's and NONE of the stuff on my friends' registeries was in the store. Sometimes it's fun for family and friends to get to see everything rather than just pick something out from a list. Am I alone thinking this? Input is WELCOMED!
